Who teaches the courses?
Most courses are created and taught by Tareq Mirza, an audio engineer, music producer, and Avid Certified Instructor with over 60,000 hours of teaching experience.
Who are the courses for?
They are designed for the modern producer. Whether you are just starting out or already working and want to fill the gaps, each course is built to take you through the field properly, step by step.
Do I need any experience before starting?
Each course page lists what you need to know before you begin. Beginner courses assume no prior experience.
What software and equipment do I need?
You need a computer, a pair of headphones or studio monitors, and your own DAW. Some courses are built around a specific DAW such as Pro Tools. Software licenses are not included with the courses.
Does it work on Mac and Windows?
Yes. The platform runs in your web browser on both Mac and Windows. You can also watch lessons on your phone or tablet.
How long do I have access to a course?
You get lifetime access to every course you buy, for as long as dB Pro Academy is operating. Learn at your own pace and come back to lessons whenever you need them.
Can I share my account with a friend?
No. Each account is for one person only. Shared accounts may be suspended without a refund.
Can I download the videos?
No. Lessons are streamed on the platform and cannot be downloaded or recorded. Any practice files included in a course are yours to use for your own learning.
Do I get a certificate?
Some courses include a certificate of completion from dB Pro Academy. It confirms that you finished the course. It is not an accredited qualification or an official Avid certification.
Does the certificate allow me to teach the course material?
No. Completing a course does not authorize you to teach, and our course materials and curriculum may not be used to teach others without written permission.
What is your refund policy?
You can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, as long as you have completed less than 20% of the course. Contact us through the Contact page to request one.
Will a course get me a job?
Our courses teach real professional skills used in the industry. Your results depend on your practice and effort, so we cannot guarantee employment or income.
